We were excited to return to the new Caesar's Southern Indiana (aka the Horseshoe) after the extensive renovations. Worth a visit then you can decide to come back. I was disappointed in the length of time it took for the machines to recognize your players card. Unfortunately, the gravy for the meat and potatoes was very salty. I had the pot roast with mashed potatoes and carrots. A new food court is available with different types of food: Mexican, homestyle and grill. There is still a free soft drink station. Table games are now offered in smoking and non-smoking areas, but you may not find your table game in both areas. The golf cart shuttle from the hotel to the casino (a long walk away) is no longer offered. Fridge and coffee maker provided as well as a safe for no extra fee.
Rooms were remodeled a few years ago and are holding up well. Check-in for the hotel was fast and efficient. I have stayed at the hotel many times but this was the first since the new casino opened.
